My ONLY real interest at Ebay is Fountain Pens, if you share my addiction, there's nothing I'd rather do than provide information ....there's an infinite amount of it on this subject. I'd also like to hear from anyone who can extend my knowledge of this MOST unappreciated collectible. ECLIPSE and FRANKLIN brands are of SPECIAL interest, so any information or examples are most welcome. My article on the history of Franklin appeared in the May/June 2000 issue of PENWORLD. My articles on Eclipse were in the July & Sept. 2006 issues. In 2003 I decided to separate my buying and selling on ebay. I now buy all my items under the handle "peneles", which is very appropriate, since I sell so little and buy so much!

What about STAMPS??? When I was in junior high, I had a paper route, and spent nearly every dime I cleared, on mint U.S. items. Sheets and singles from the Philatellc Bureau of the U.S. post office, and mint singles from the local stamp store, were my only purchases. Today I am selling off my stamps, to subsidize my fountain pen addiction. I attempt to describe the condition (#1 consideration in stamps AND pens) precisely.

What am I doing on eBay

Like most pen collectors, who have been at it a while, I have accumulated duplicates: pens that I once HAD-TO-HAVE, but now make me yawn; and items which were a deal I couldn't say "no" to. All of the above leaves me with capital that is misallocated, so I try to sell a few, to offset some of my many eBay purchases. If I could get you a pen that you love, it would make my day. I won't sell a pen that is not in working order, or cosmetically excellent. Some may be slightly worn, but that will be fully disclosed, and they'll still LOOK good. Occasionaly I may have one with a repaired crack, but I will specify location and length. I want to be known for selling few, but excellent pens.
