ABOUT ME
On leaving the RAAF in 1984 after 25 years service, I determined to finish my education with a Diploma of Applied Science (Horticulture) at the University of QLD. On completion of my formal education, I opened a small wholesale nursery thinking I knew something about horticulture. Boy, was I in for a shock!
Reluctantly retiring in 2004, I was at a loss what to do with myself. The result was Ole Lantana on several auction sites where I sold seeds and plants initially. My wife (and better half) is a prolific reader churning out at least one book each day. Soon, the secondhand bookseller said 'enough'. our family and friends said 'no more' and we were drowning in books. The result was an expansion of my auction activities to include secondhand books of every genre.
Plants and Seeds
I offer plants suitable for postage, mainly succulents and bulbs, and seeds of native or exotic trees, shrubs, vines, groundcovers, herbs, bulbs and succulents. If I haven't got the seed you require then given time I can get it. Some seed is viable for a short period and is only available for a few months of each year while other seed is viable for many years with correct storage, If you can't see what you want offered then an email may be all that is needed.
Secondhand Books
All of my books are secondhand and many are sold in 'as new' condition. They include fiction, hobbies, and others. I attempt to list the condition of my books honestly but please remember that I am a seller of secondhand books not a secondhand book store.
Customer Satisfaction
My aim is to have 100% customer satisfaction and returning customers. To achieve this I will do my utmost to resolve issues amiably but I can't fix it if I don't know it's broken. Please email me promptly if you are not satisfied.

Terms & Conditions of Sale
Purchases and auction wins should be paid for within 7 days of receiving an invoice. If you wish to purchase multiple items thereby delaying payment please send a courtesy email. Refunds are given as Merchandise Credit or Exchange to the value of the purchased items and excludes postage. Returns must be made within 14days of the original dispatch date.
Payment Methods
Australian Customers: payment is accepted by direct deposit, Australian money order, bank cheques, unused Australian 50c or $1.00 postage stamps or cash (strictly at the buyer's risk). Sorry, I do no accept personal or business cheques, Paypal or Paymate from Australian buyers.
International Customers: payment by Paymate or Paypal is the only form of payment accepted. Bank fees for international money orders usually exceed the face value of the money order and they are therefore not acceptable. A Certificate of Origin is available free of charge for customs. Please ask.
Postage
Within Australia: postage is by the cheapest means available for good packaging. Seed items are generally 50c but postage of $1.00 will include free bubblewrap protection. Australia Post uses machinery that can mash seeds for which I cannot be held responsible.
Overseas Postage: airmail postage for most seed items is $2.00 up to 50 grams and $4.00 up to 125 grams.
Thank You
I hope you enjoy browsing through my items. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or even make suggestions. Mine is only a small operation but I find it much more enjoyable than watching 'Days of Our Lives'.
