All I need to know...

onebighoax is my brain child. It all started years ago when I did a comic strip for a college newspaper. It was satirical and focused on Houston's city government. It was titled One Big Hoax.

The name is a play on words. My last name is Hoaks. I have never taken myself too seriously. It seems only fitting that "Hoaks" would be my last name.

I created the logo several years ago with the idea that some day I would use it in the business world. I even had it tattooed on my left shoulder blade about 4 years ago.

eBay is a wonderful venue for me for several reasons. The primary reason is that I am so shy. This is where my business partner comes in handy.

Oddly enough my business partner is my ex-boyfriend. He is an amazing person who I would be foolish to cast aside simply because we aren't "together" anymore. He has a great determination to succeed. He has no fear when dealing with people. This quality is very valuable to me because of my shyness. I prefer the comfort of my computer chair and the online venue when it comes to dealing with people.

My number one priority is customer service. I go out of my way to make sure that the eBay experience is a positive one for all who cross my path. It gives me great joy to think of the smiles on my customers' faces when their packages arrive.

On a personal note, my children are the world to me! No matter how old they get to be, (they are 19 and 20 now) they will always be my "babies." No matter what I do in my life aside from be their mother, I will die knowing that, by being their mother, I have done the greatest thing of all. Remember, children are a blessing... not a burden!

I am a Swing dancer. I am in a performing Swing dance troupe called Swingtastic. I just got back to it after a year and a half break. This business was so demanding that I had to stop dancing. I have recently decided to get back to it because what kind of life is it if you don't make room for your passions? My son also Swing dances and is in the troupe so it affords me extra time with him.
