~My little About Me Page~ Me in Colorado all bundled up!! click picture to enlarge Welcome to the About Me Page... I have never wanted to fill one of these out...but some of you are asking "about me"...which is a wonderful compliment...I always wonder about each of you that purchase my art. My biggest wonder is 1...what you look like, 2...what type of beauty decorates your home, 3...why you like my art and how can I keep your interest in my art, and 4...what type of person you are (I can usually tell by the feedback that is left for me). So.....a little about me...   I am married (almost 9 years now) to a wonderful Christian man...Sam. I play keyboards and sing and that is how I met him...at my church...he plays drums. We were both on the same worship teams & I fell head over heels in love with him the 1st time I saw him. He has such an incredible heart of gold...worships God 1st and then me. He is the most tender man that I know other than my father. 3 years ago, he had a massive heart attack (38 yr old) and so now I really try to treasure every day I have with him. We chose to not have children...I owned a preschool for 5 years and that sort of cured my desire to have kids...but we both love other people's children and get to love on them at church!! We have 4 animal babies...Hummer (a Landseer Newfy), Aspen (a Golden Retreiver), Isabella (or Puff-Puff...our grey manx cat), and Savannah (Monkey-tail...our black/tan tortie cat). All of our babies love each other and they all sleep in our queen size bed with us! It's quite a site. We complain of lack of sleep every day...wonder why???...but we just don't have the heart to ask the babies to sleep on the floor. My dad always says that if he believed in reincarnation...he would want to come back as one of my dogs!!! My Newf Hummer is always by my side...forever in my sewing room and the cats under my shelves or curled up in one of my chenille quilts that I made just for the kitties.   I graduated from the Univ. of Oklahoma (it only took 7 years!)!! I have a BA in Organizational Communications, and Minors in Public Relations and Social Work. For a time I worked at Intel in New Mexico and I think that was the best job I have ever had working for someone else. My dad was Air Force so we moved pretty much every 2 years...I was blessed to live overseas and was able to travel alot with my family. I have owned a preschool, a cleaning business, a web-site...www.oohsahsoriginals.com, try to do at least 3-5 craft shows a year in Northern CA, and now sell on ebay. My entire family lives in Oklahoma...I am the only odd one living in CA. We love it here.   I'm sure you already know that I love animals and crafting....I also love to read, mess around learning new things on the computer, shopping on ebay, garage sale-ing, and looking at my "things" in my sewing room and my button room. I can sit for hours and look at the antique and vintage fabrics, laces, trims, and buttons that I have collected over the last 3 years. I can get lost in thinking of who else has handled the items, where they stored them, who made them...etc. I think I would have loved to live in the Victorian times...but I'm pretty sure I would have hated some of it...like not having Chilie's, kotex, credit-cards...little things like that...Smile.   I am now almost 44 years old. I am learning to be content with what I have, who I am, what I've done in this life God gave me. I continue to pursue my crafting (which is such a love of mine and such a therapy). I think after my animal babies pass on...I would like to have a house with no animal fur for awhile...see what it's like to not vacuum everyday. I feel like I'm rambling...maybe because it's 1:41am and I'm tired. So I'll stop for now.   I do want to tell each of you that stops to look at my art that I really appreciate you...you bless me so much when you buy a piece, or write to ask me a question or tell me that you like my art. I have met so many incredible women...and a few men while trading on ebay. You really inspire me to create better...to let my imagination dream. Thank you for sharing parts of yourself with me...it's an honor to ebay with you. As always...I believe in sharing what I know and being brave enough to ask what I want to know. So....if you ever want to know where I got something or how I made something...just ask...I will always tell you...nothing is a secret...we are here to help each other and learn from one another...God Bless You Abundantly... But...I know some of you don't like to deal with cards on-line...so I will personally take a check if you have purchased from me before, or have more than 50 feedbacks, and have a rating of 99% or 100%! Please ask first to write a check...I need to okay this first. If you purchase from overseas...PAYPAL only! Thanks for understanding! No more money orders or cashiers checks...my bank is getting too picky for these anymore! Can you believe that? I say money is money...but not so per my bank. I try to ship within 2 days of payment. If I'm really bored...I'll get it all ready upon payment and ship the next day, however, my boring days are getting less and less. Smile. I also am trying to only send priority mail now since it's taking forever for people to get their goodies. It only costs a dollar or two more and gets to your house in 2-3 days.
