| As you can see, I'm very into my animals. I have a domestic longhair cat and an adopted black lab, and most of my spare cash goes towards spoiling them. The lab especially is 90 lbs, so everything I buy for him costs me a fortune. Of course, it's all worth it. I also have three terrarium animals: a millipede, a green anole, and a ball python. Millipedes, by the way, are not the ones that bite (those are centipedes). The Giant African Millipede has several hundred legs, looks like a long sausage (except pitch black with armor), and defends itself by excreting a liquid that would smell bad if I were small enough to want to eat it. And they eat vegetation off the forest floor, not other insects. Half the people that hear I have a millipede confuse it with a centipede and are scared to touch it. |

| As for me, my name is Oleg, and I am a college student studying towards a double major in Botany and Plant Sciences and Anthropology. My interests include animals, plants, human diversity, anti-prejudice, computers, and computer games. Fungi are also pretty cool. And bacteria and viruses are pretty fascinating.... Oh, and theoretical inorganic chemistry is very interesting. OK, so I guess that makes me a nerd? Except that I really don't spend very much time studying, as I know I should. So maybe a geek? But of course labels cannot describe the human complexity so lets just say I'm a geeky, nerdy, activist, laid-back, impulsive, compulsive, cynical, optimistic, perfectionistic procrastinator. Actually, that describes me perfectly :D. |
