Property Sales at ORNL

The Property Management Organization sells the used property coming from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the Department of Energy. 

ORNL is a multiprogram science and technology laboratory managed for the U.S. Department of Energy by UT-Battelle, LLC.  Located on 1100 acres with hundreds of buildings.  Types of property being excessed includes laboratory items, manufacturing equipment, furniture, vehicles, maintenance equipment, computer equipment, etc.

Our facility is located at 115A Union Valley Road, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37831.  Our office hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The pick-up hours are 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The facility does have a loading dock with a dock leveler and forklifting capacity.  We also have personnel who will load all items onto your conveyance. 

Property Sales at ORNL conducts many other types of sales, including:

• Live Auctions (several times a year) featuring 600+ lots, absentee bidding and shipping
• Annual Contracts for:   Scrap metal, Used Oils, Tires, Batteries, Plastics, etc.
• Negotiated and sealed-bid sales

To ensure that you see all of our E-Bay Sales, every sale will span a weekend.  We are unable to answer your questions on the weekend, so most sales will not end on Monday, allowing us time to answer your questions.
