I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1983, having spent 10 years at Barksdale AFB, Bossier City, Louisiana, and 13 1/2 years at Wurtsmith AFB, Oscoda, Michigan, from whence cometh my eBay ID. My wife and I stayed in Oscoda until 2005. Her failing health and the local economy, or lack thereof, enhanced our decision to pack up and move to the tar pits of senior citizens, that being Florida. My daughter, son-in-law and four granddaughters live within two miles of us. We are truly blessed. The people here are friendly and the food is excellent.
My wife and I are die-hard garage sellers. We start out at 6:00am on Fridays and Saturdays and don't return home until about 1:00pm, sometimes later. We spend the next five days recuperating and anticipating next week's garage sales. That's where you meet the finest of folks, and we enjoy every minute of it.
