First, please allow me to explain the meaning of our name. 'Our Hearts Go Out' is named for myself and my two beautiful girls. We were devastated when Hurricane Ivan hit our area in 2004, and my children lost their father during the storm. Faced with raising two children on my own, I opened a small business to help make ends meet.

When Hurricane Katrina swept through the gulf coast in 2005, we decided we had to do something to help. We became Red Cross volunteers, and began selling our items online to donate the proceeds to Katrina relief. We have been doing this for a little over a year now, and we will continue to sell items for relief until there is no longer a need. I visit the effected areas quite often, to check on the reconstruction progress. There is still a LONG way to go! Together, we can make a difference!
