I will advise of the shipping/handling charges for the article, and submit a revised invoice for the total amount via Paypal based on the email information you provide.
If I do not hear from you within five business days, then assume that the invoice I have submitted to you will be the current and correct one. This will also apply as default on items that can be shipped in the Flat Rate envelopes (such as magazines) on single item auctions.
All sales are final, sold AS-IS, and is non-refundable. All funds will be made payable in US Dollars only. No Yens, Marks, Peso, Francs, Euros, etc. Sorry.
Take note that all payment transactions will be made via Paypal only. Also, please note that when paying via Paypal, I would really prefer that your shipments will go to the confirmed address only. It's the only way to be sure the item goes to where the payment was addressed from.
Why Paypal? I dislike the hassle of mailing the cheques/money orders to be deposited, with the possibilities of being lost in the mail. Besides, in this era of the Information Age with on-line banking and payment, if you have a bank account, or credit account, then there shouldn't be much of a reason to not try something that's quick and easy. Now, if only shipping packages out could be as simple and efficient.
Please take note that
You, as the buyer, will be paying for the shipping/handling of the article.
Combined shipping will be available on a case-by-case basis, with modified
shipping costs, of course.
Correct addressing and Zip/Postal/Country Codes is essential in obtaining the correct shipping
price and receipt of item!
I would very much prefer that any payment done via Paypal will be shipped to the confirmed address ONLY. Any other addresses requested for shipment instructions might be honoured; however, no liability or compensation for lost or misdirected mail due to non-confirmed shipping address.
In general, after payment has been received, the majority of the postal packages will be shipped out Friday or Saturday. I will try to give you Feedback the same day I ship the packages out, which will consist of date payment received, the delivery confirmation number, and comments if any. Email will be sent as well to advise of shipment and of the confirmation/tracking number later in the evening.
No liability is assumed for lost/delayed packages, or broken/damaged packages. The majority of the postal packages are shipped via commercial flights. Mail bags are treated as luggage/cargo. If you find the item to be of value, I would suggest insurance in relation to auction price or the perceived value.
All items purchased and to be shipped within the US Territories (including APO/FPO) will be shipped with Delivery Confirmation, via US Priority Mail. No exceptions. The minimum base rate charges for any single item shipment will be $6.00USD to all US territories, including APO/FPO; however, certain items can be shipped in the Flate Rate envelopes at the rate of $5.00USD. If you are wondering why for the reasoning to using the Delivery Confirmation, it is so that both parties can trace and verify the shipment and receiving of the item.
Weight
and size of the item could be a factor in terms of
cost. For example, two normal sized magazines (e.g. - Maxim, Playboy,
Glamour, Vogue, etc) can comfortably fit in a Flat Rate
envelope, with three barely squeezing in. The VHS tape boxes can
only hold ONE tape, while the bigger box can hold three DVD cases.
Most paperback books can fit in either the VHS box or the DVD box, or Flat
Rate envelope. To get an idea of weight, a ream of standard letter sized copy
paper (8.5x11, 20# weight, 500 sheets), or even the local Chicago White Pages phonebook weights
5lbs.
If I am able to fit the item into the Flat Rate envelope, and it is secure enough to do so, I will try. No guarantee on that though. I will NOT ship CDs in a flat-rate envelope, for the fear that in the tiny mail slots or boxes, the postal folks want to bend/fold them thru. Thus CDs will be shipped much like a VHS, going thru the postal system in a box. Believe me, I have had a trio of CDs shipped in a padded envelope shipped to me (an eBay auction even), and needless to say, two got crunched. Thus, under no circumstances, will CDs be shipped in envelopes! To an extent, this will include DVDs as well. Netflix might do it, but I don't like the idea of a broken/scratched disk, or even the jewel case being mangled.
Postal Insurance, although recommended on some items, is optional. Extra costs depends on how much coverage you want to have. Mind you though, that while the insurance is a nice peace of mind, there are things it will not cover. So choose accordingly.
At this time, there will be no options for shipment of items at the Media/Parcel/Book rates.
Depending upon the destination, the shipping charges could range from $7USD (Zone 1 at 0.22Kg) up to $10USD (Zone 4 at 0.22kg) at minimum. The maximum shipping charges will range from $20USD (Zone 1 at 1.81kg) up to $35USD (Zone 5 at 1.81kg). Note that this only applies to those countries that accept the Global Priority Mail. Some countries do not, thus the costs will vary greatly, and at times will be quite expensive!
International buyers will be responsible for any duty/excise taxes for receipt of the article.
All Non-US buyers should inquire on ESTIMATED shipping/handling charges as well as to whether you will be paying via Paypal or International Postal Money Order. Some countries cannot make use of Paypal, thus I would suggest trying Western Union as an alternate. Just keep in mind, however, that wire services like Western Union, are expensive! Thus my preferences overall for Paypal and Postal Money Orders.
In some cases, a slight delay of shipment of item will be incurred when figuring out the charges and forms of payment, and language barriers.
If possible, most of the international shipments, will be done via US Postal Global Priority Mail.
Weight will be a factor in terms of cost. Flat Rate envelopes (23cm X 30cm) can hold up to two normal sized magazines, as a reference.
Maximum weight per package is 1.81Kg. Thus, if you won
several items, and weight is 3.18Kg, you are looking at 2 packages with
at least $20USD shipping charges for Global Priority Mail.

I hereby reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time, and to also deny bidders with excessive or questionable negative feedbacks - this includes those with hidden feedbacks (what are you hiding, eh?) and excessive bid retractions. I will do my best to fairly and accurately describe the listed item, however, and unless otherwise noted, all auctions are final and items are auctioned as is.
