The Wisdom Pedlars is a small but professional book selling business, only dealing in books and maps (and related items and ephemera)
We started this business - 7 years ago (5 on eBay) - because we are passionate about books. We want to bring a breath of fresh air to online bookselling as we only sell books that we are enthusiastic about; interesting, curious and collectable books, as well as beautiful and scarce works.
We list every week for a 7 day auction, starting Sunday evenings.
ALL our books start at 99p, with NO RESERVE and WILL BE SOLD to the highest bidder
Importantly, we sell books in a variety of conditions, making particularly rare works, more affordable to the average collector
We offer for sale RARE, ANTIQUARIAN and ILLUSTRATED works, and have a vast and eclectic array of genres, such as, Voyages, (Travel & Exploration) History, Literature, Children’s, Religion, Science, Reference and Natural History, to name but a few. In a variety of languages; English, Latin, French, Spanish and German etc.
….From 17th century Bibles and early editions of Shakespeare, to first editions of Conan Doyle, Kerouac, Douglas Adams. Adam Ferguson and Richard Hakluyt’s to Beatrix Potter and A. A Milne. As well as illustrated works from the likes of Bewick, Dulac, Nielsen, and Rackham.
Our books are brought to life for our potential bidders, with plenty of photographs and detailed descriptions.
WE have a global customer base and regularly ship to USA,CANADA, AUSTRALIA, MEXICO, AND EUROPE, and have had a recent increase in sales to RUSSIA and CHINA, as well as our large established UK customer base of Book dealers, academics and collectors.
We are based in West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom, a few short miles from the home of the Bronte sisters in Haworth. |
