OZARKTWIST HOOKS AND HAIR STICKS

Welcome to the Home of the OZARKTWIST

Welcome and thanks for visiting our site. We live here in the Ozarks in south central Missouri on our 400 acre farm surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest with lots of beautitul hills and wildlife.

A Little About Us

 Papa Don has taught high school shop and woodworking and built many beautiful homes. For years he made all kinds of wonderful kitchen utensils out of the lovely hardwoods in our area. He made kitchen and hunting knives and I (wife Karol) did all of the leather work for the sheaths. After our two sons became proficient in the knife making trade he wanted to make something smaller and pretty. Since I loved crochet, the hooks were a natural. I almost fainted when I saw the very first one he made. It was wonderful and it worked so well for me. He has continued to make small improvements, but his basic hook with the OZARKTWIST hasn't changed much. He is not making Crochet Hooks for auctions now but does take custom orders for anyone interested. Please feel free to contact us. Our OZARKTWIST was also perfect for hair sticks and they have evolved along with the hooks. Now he is only making the hair sticks for eBay auctions. However, he does take orders for his crochet hooks. We're semi-retired and love the outdoors. I enjoy riding my horses and all of the wonderful trails in the area. We love living close to our 3 grown children and their families...which include five wonderful grandchildren. They are all amazing and a continuous joy.
