Recently retired from the work
force, I am enjoying my full-time pastime of making and designing
parasols and umbrellas. Yes, I am the same lady introduced to the
online world on eBay by my son, Roger from the Southern Store.
I am the same
lady who conversed with thousands of visitors at the French Market in
New Orleans who were amazed by the unique designs of these lovely and
traditional hand sewn and decorated parasols of the Second Line.
Circumstances of Hurricane Katrina sent me packing to Duluth, Georgia
and I am happy to continue servicing my customers through eBay.
Yes, I miss the
personal visual and friendly contact I was able to make at the market,
but life takes turns and changes that we sometimes have to succumb
to. I am still in contact with my original vendors which allows
me to continue delivering a product of quality and integrity.
I am the lady
that is the rage of bridal parties on The Knot and if you have
wedding or bridal needs, I can take care of that for you. Our
parasols have been used as costumes, dance recitals, sporting events,
and Mardi Gras parades and celebrations. I am also happy to serve
those in the Gothic communities who have imagined incredible designs
for their festivals and affairs. These parasols can be used as
gifts, in re-enactments, perfect for dress-up parties or
theatres. What a wonderful way to brighten a little girl's day or
accesorise with a fancy sunshade umbrella.
All parasols are
marked with my initials RR to show that it was an original made from
my hands.
Welcome
to Parasol Specialties... how can I serve you?
