LeNain Jewelry is a family owned and operated business that has been conducting
private sales of unique estate, antique and vintage jewelry pieces to the trade,
antique dealers and private customers worldwide since 1997.
Throughout
this time they have built a strong reputation based in their honesty, integrity
and personal service which is second to none.
Known for their unsurpassed
commitment to excellence have established long lasting business relations with
strong ties; in fact many of their original customers have become personal
friends.
LeNain Jewelry carries an exciting selection of Victorian,
Edwardian, Art nouveau, Art Deco and Vintage jewelry covering periods from the
mid 1800’s to the 1980’s.
The company showcases middle to high-end estate jewelry pieces for the avid
collector as well as the occasional investor; being in the wholesale trade as
they are, the price structure reflects tremendous savings for the final
consumer; as Edward likes to put it “one does not need to be rich to own a high
quality unique jewelry piece”
The LeNain collection is put together by extensively searching all over the
world for beautiful and exceptional pieces exquisitely crafted in platinum or
18K gold although occasionally there are 14K gold items as well as sterling
silver jewelry. All precious stones are natural as mined, it is LeNain’s policy
to avoid any kind of mechanical enhancement, be it laser or heat treatment.
Precious stones like diamonds can be rose cut, old-mine or antique European cut
which are prominent in many pieces. Emeralds, sapphires and rubies continue to
complete the precious stone palette. Other materials – garnets, coral, amethyst,
aquamarines and turquoise – are just a few of the types of precious and
semi-precious stones found in some of the pieces being offered
Although relatively small in numbers each of the company’s part owners works as
an employee and has a unique role, but all with a common denominator “passion
for great and unique jewelry”
Edward LeNain is the every day “go to” person overseeing the operation as a
whole while his wife, renowned Beverly Hills wedding and evening gowns designer
to the stars Norma LeNain has the final approval in the company acquisitions.
Daughter Valerie is in charge of customer relations and operation logistics,
while son Daniel is the creative talent behind the scenes who is in charge of
advertising, photography and web site maintenance. With his 40 years of
experience cousin Oscar is the master goldsmith in charge of restoration and
repair, it is under his strict supervision where the pieces are inspected,
repaired if needed, polished and brought back to its original splendor and Alex
is the one that grades, evaluates and prices every piece that forms part of our
exclusive collection working very closely with LeNain’s Jewelry agents in Europe
and South America. The rest of the supporting cast includes Charles, Lucas,
Grace, Martin, Robert and Patricia
For many
years we were happy to receive you at our brick and mortar store in Beverly
Hills. Regretfully due to the fact that after 15 years we lost of our lease
coupled with Norma's stroke we are now an Internet only company.
We are hoping for Norma's full recovery within the next few months. At that time
we'll get back in pursuit of a convenient store location where we can welcome
you back again.
I want to thank you all for the well wishes sent during this trying times, your
kindness and uplifting words will be carried by both of us for ever.
The following two paragraphs are very important and somehow educational
A) NOTE ABOUT
JEWELRY PHOTOGRAPHY:
Pictures of jewelry, specially the ones that involve precious stones are very
difficult to obtain. Very often (too often maybe) when these pictures are
displayed in a monitor the result is diamonds show darker than they actually are
(some cuts more than others) when the fact is they aren't. Looking at the
pictures, if you believe that the diamonds look dark, please check the detailed
information provided in the listing where we clearly state the classification of
the stones as graded by a professional gemologist. If you still unsure please
ask any questions by emailing us at
info@dotgoneassets.com before you place your bid. Metals are very
reflective, different coloration spots that you might see in some pictures of
the precious metal area are just reflections captured by the lens due to
lighting conditions and are not in the metal itself!. It is a generally
accepted practice in the jewelry business to inspect and grade pieces under a
10X magnification glass. Since we use a very high definition digital
camera most of our photos are enlarged in a way as if they were under a 100X
magnification glass. Be aware that 99.99999 % of potential problems you
may see in the pictures cannot definitely be seen with the naked eye, 10X or
sometimes even under a 30x magnification glass. Occasionally some images might
make an item appear to be imperfect when it actually is faultless.
B) NOTE ABOUT PRECIOUS STONES and METALS:
All the precious stones featured in our jewelry are fully evaluated and graded
by a professional with over 30 years in the business. All stones are natural as
mined unless otherwise indicated (occasionally we have jewelry with synthetic
rubies or sapphires of the highest quality but it always is disclosed).
All our Diamonds are 100% NATURAL. They are NOT ENHANCED or TREATED in any
way, shape or form. Some sellers will not disclose this fact or will
represent it as a plus when in fact it is exactly the opposite, enhanced stones
are much less valuable than natural stones. Unless otherwise specifically
noted all the jewelry we sell is of solid precious metal tested for accuracy.
Platinum is of the highest quality (normally 950, never less than 900), the gold
in the jewelry we sell is 18K or higher although occasionally we might have
pieces in 14K gold at a lesser price that its counterparts (18K gold is about
30% more valuable than 14K gold), metals are not plated or laminated unless
specifically noted. Please keep these facts present when comparing prices.
All of our jewelry listings are very good quality pieces, we try to describe
them to the best of our ability without hiding any know defects or flaws. Every
piece we sell is guaranteed to be AT LEAST as described, often times will be
even better since we are on the conservative side when it comes to
classification.

Please read the item description, look at the pictures and if you
have any doubts please
ASK BEFORE BIDDING.
Most of our estate, vintage, and antique jewelry items have been
previously treasured but very well cared for. Gentle wear may be
present on some pieces however they are still in excellent
condition. Any mentionable flaws or imperfections are clearly
disclosed in our listing description.
Best Offer:
If this item
is listed in the "Fixed Price" category and the "Submit an Offer"
feature is enabled, please do not waste your time or ours submitting
ridiculous offers, everybody likes bargains but many offers come at
prices lower than "scrap" value, I take that very personal as an
insult to my intelligence.
Buyer's submitting offers of that kind will be added to our "Blocked
Bidders List" and will never ever be able to place a bid in any of
our exclusive antique and vintage pieces.
Any ridiculous or "insulting" offers submitted below a reasonable
value will be immediately and automatically declined according to
our posted minimum in eBay's system.
Please be realistic when placing your offer, it works better for all
parties involved and would make a plausible and enjoyable
proposition for buyer and seller.
Thank you for your consideration.
