Thanks for visiting my "me" page! Art has always been part of me in one way or another throughout my life. I have expressed that need to create in different forms: Graphic design, acting, writing, ceramics, gourd carving and painting. Always trying new things. Just like rain to the flowers, art it is necessary for me to be happy. When I was a little girl my grandmother used to have a wall in her house just for me to draw and paint on. What a treat that was! In those days mermaids, lizards and squirrels were my main subjects. Although I was not allowed to touch the scissors after one clip-happy creative day, I always had paper, pencils and lots of colors around me. Seems like that was the only way my mamá could keep me busy! I went to college, I've taken some art lessons, but am mostly a self taught artist. If I don't do art I am not happy. As an adult I was a graphic designer and had my own studio until 1992, when I moved to the U.S. Now, as a mother, I steal any free time to swing a paintbrush, knead some clay or take a pictures pictures for my blog. In the year 2000 I started to sell online. Thanks to the unbeatable exposure of the Internet, my work has landed in places like Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Jamaica, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the UK and across the US. I prefer to work with a small format; therefore, in 2004 when I discovered Art Cards I was fascinated. Hundreds of Art Cards later, after painting a series of little girls in ACEO size, I wondered how they would look in 3D, so I turned all my energy into working with clay and discovered the wonderful word of the Art Dolls. Since the end of 2006 I have been learning about doll making. I enjoy very much creating OOAK fantasy figures and babies with polymer. I make and collect Frida Kalo items, Small Format Art, Art-Dolls. ...By the way, all my dolls are for display, collecting and gentle handling only and not meant to be a child's toy! California has been my home for many years now. I live with my husband, our children and a fat spoiled cat.
