PAST PERFECTION VINTAGE COSTUME JEWELRY -- ABOUT ME
WELCOME AND THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
I have been an avid buyer of vintage costume jewelry since 1982 and have been selling on eBay since July 2000. My largest personal collection is of "Juliana", the fabulous, unmarked, mostly colored rhinestone jewelry, which has gotten lots of recognition over the past few years and was produced by the DeLizza & Elster company. The Juliana company was formed by Frank DeLizza and his partner and was in business for only two years -- 1967-1969, so the Juliana name for all of the D&E line is actually a mis-identification. DeLizza & Elster produced the five link bracelet and accompanying pieces that are so loved in the jewelry collecting world. It was the posting of some of my collection to Jewel Collect that started the recognition of Juliana as a line of jewelry. I was also fortunate to have been the person who found Frank DeLizza - it was a real thrill to meet Frank & Joan DeLizza. They are wonderful people and are always willing to answer questions about the DeLizza & Elster line of jewelry.
In May 2000 I started my web site, Past Perfection Vintage Costume Jewelry, where I sell beautiful creations, primarily from the 1930s, 40s, 50s and 60s. Glitz has always been my love and you'll find plenty of it and other styles of jewelry on my site and in my auctions. I love to put together sets and parures and at Past Perfection you may find the perfect piece to complete one of yours.
I've also added a category to my site as a reference for those who would like to know more about D&E jewelry. On it, I try to point out various characteristics of the pieces so that collectors will become more knowledgeable.
I have received many compliments about my site's inventory and ease of shopping. Past Perfection Vintage Costume Jewelry has been a labor of love and I am very proud of it.
MY COMMITMENT TO YOU
I have high standards for purchases for my personal collection. These standards carry over to my web site offerings and eBay auctions. I will always strive to provide the best items in the nicest condition and with the best possible service. The items I sell I would be proud to wear or use myself. I will point out flaws and drawbacks, where needed, so an informed decision can be made whether to bid. I want you to be pleased so you will return again and again to bid on my items and buy from my site. And, I am always happy to combine auctions and/or web site orders for savings on shipping.
I will give U.S. buyers the choice of shipping by USPS Priority Mail or First Class mail. Insurance is always the option of the customer and I highly recommend it.. International shipping most often is done by Global Priority Mail. Unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for uninsured items which do not arrive or arrive in poor condition. I pack well, with lots of bubble wrap and use sturdy boxes so in normal circumstances your item should be received safely and in good condition.
If your item is not as you expected, I will happily refund your bid price, no questions asked, as long as it is returned to me promptly and in the same condition as sent. Before sending, please email me within 3 days of receipt, when I will give you confirming return information. Items to be returned should be packed well and insured for full value. If you receive a damaged item, postal regulations require that the receiving party take the item to the post office and fill out the appropriate forms as the USPS wants to see the item in the condition it was originally received. I will assist with this procedure, should it ever become necessary.
I hope you will find shopping with me to be an enjoyable experience. If you have any questions or need additional pictures of any item, please email me. Cheryl
