Hello- Yes- I just changed my user ID from Gundog-45. for 2 reasons. 1. I get tired of using the same ID for more than a year or so. 2. Because boring and unimaginative people change their ID's to sound like or imitate mine. There were about '20' newby Gundog somethings on ebay last I checked. Why Patch-Doctor?. Well I have to credit a recent somewhat unhappy customer for the idea. Some people forget ebay is just for fun. Yes it also a business too for some of us. I sold an old fairly rare item at a very fair price. The winner returned the item because of they didn't like the fact it had some paper on the back. Which was my fault for not mentioning along with the DNA Sequence and HTLA Typing of the item etc. That was a neat one of kind that came from an old collection. I'am honest seller but I do make a mistake or two from time to time. I have tried to keep things simple and sometimes I guess that just makes folks mighty unhappy. So if its more rules and tedious details you require: The patch doctor will be only too happy to prescribe then for you. I will be redesigning my sales page shortly to include all things I used to enjoy leaving out.

****I do not endorse or knowingly sell fake or reproduction items. We all unfortunately get taken once and awhile by them. For the most part Ebay items in the 'police patch' category are about 80-90% taiwanese / chinese made. Which gives ample opprtunity for poeple to make fakes, fantasy patches or copies of copies. Overseas- will make anything for anybody. I realize that is big business for some. It is just not for me. It is OK to ask a seller if an item is a 'dept issue' or 'reproduction'. Or maybe even a bit of history on the listing. Some items I've seen lately have been 'counterfeited' so many times from other 'fakes' that the K9 Dog patches look like fishes; I think they use 'Carp' as models and the human images have a definite Far East flavor or maybe they are x-files spacemen.**** I try to collect and sell older patches for the most part. I have been at this over 20 years. This was when Patches were USA MADE or at least used 'Schiffli' design Swiss Embroidery. We call these 'cheese cloth backs'. Many sharp looking older California Patches display this excellent 'detailed' manufacturing. If you enjoy outsourcing and like buying items made in communist countries then my site is probably not for you. Stick to the 'RARE' 'GREAT' 'FANTASTIC' 'HTF' patch websites where you can pay your $2.99 for a patch that probably cost the seller .10 cents a piece to buy from China and he has another 100 or 200 of that same item to flog off on everyone else. NOTE: ***** I'am interested purchasing collections of [OLDER] Police-Public Safety, Fish and Game, Railroad and even Postal Memorabilia. Thanks for visiting and happy hunting! P.S. If there are people who request it- I may put up a link with information on Police patches that are rare and have been 'counterfeited' for that reason- then of course make their way onto [u know].
