Shipping

To the extent possible we ship via flat rate priority mail. For heavy packages we use UPS or FedEx. We urge international buyers to combine purchases and choose shipment by the flat rate priority mail *box* - the insurance and customs documentation is more extensive than the flat rate envelope and the chances for loss have proven to be low.

We maintain proof of mailing and/or shipping. Items are insured insofar as postal and shipper services cover the claimed value of the items(s). We do not claim international shipments as "gifts" nor do we claim a value lower than our price of the items sold or given away. If buyer wishes additional insurance, they are responsible for the actual cost. Customs requires the claimed value to agree with the insured value.

We purchase delivery confirmation for all USA shipments. We maintain all available customs numbers for international shipments. We ship only to the address provided in the payment notice - Paypal will provide their buyer insuance for shipments that go to a *confirmed* address - we encourage every buyer to confirm their paypal address.

We are not responsible for final delivery into the hands of the recipient because we have no control over conditions at the final delivery point. International buyers must be aware that shipments can take up to two months. Untimely arrival of international shipments normally is the result of a package being held in local customs awaiting buyer's payment of an import fee or tariff. If any claim is made concerning international non-delivery, we urge every such buyer to first directly contact local postal and customs officials. We cannot be held responsible for international delivery in those nations that do not provide the US postal service with notice of arrival and/or delivery, unless buyer pays additional costs for signature delivery services.

We will initiate an investigation into every claim of non-receipt or non-delivery. Our investigations include direct contact with buyer's local postal officials responsible for delivery, as well as buyer's local customs officials. We work with the Portland chapter of the Language Bank to provide language translation services. If we suspect theft or fraud we will file a request for formal investigation by the US Postmaster General. We will refund with insurance or reshipment only if an investigation provides reasonable assurance of accidental loss or misdelivery, or actual theft during shipment. An investigation can take a month or more. We are not responsible for errors that are not our responsibility, such as if we are provided with an incorrect address.

Refunds & Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you have any questions please contact us right away. We will work with you in good faith. Should you find an item to be defective, contact us within 5 days of receipt - we will do our best to provide an exact replacement, or if not an equal value replacement, upon your return of the item(s), and we cover all shipping for this.

Buyers and recipients of any and all items we sell, trade, and give away agree that they assume all risks for themselves and anyone or anything else. They agree that is his and/or her responsibility to make sure that all such items are handled, used, and so forth, safely, appropriately, and with due care. This responsibility covers all items we have listed on ebay, as well as any and all such items not listed on ebay that we may sell, trade, or give away. Upon receipt of items, buyers and recipients are responsible for first inspecting all items to ensure the items are not defective. If any item is found defective, buyers and recipients agree not to use it. Buyers and recipients agree to use items only after they have decided that the items are appropriate and safe for their own intended applications, and the items can and will be used safely by themselves and anyone else. We are not responsible for any error in any description of items listed or offered for sale, trade, or gift. Our listings may provide suggested applications and methods; these are always suggestions only, not recommendations or instructions, and we are not responsible for any action by anyone concerning any such language in our listings and any other communications. Buyers and recipients agree that we are not responsible for any property damage, bodily injury, and so forth, at any time, concerning all items we have sold, traded, and given away.
