MOST PEOPLE ARE HONEST
Whether I'm buying or selling, I've found that the great majority of the folks I'm dealing with are honest and upfront. So I'm going to treat each new customer or seller with courtesy and the expectation that the transaction will be great. I'm almost always right, and try to keep my auctions positive and fun!
eBAY IS FUN AND ADDICTIVE
My sister got me hooked on eBay. I love it. I love buying stuff. Through eBay it's possible to start an instant collection on anything! For example, want to start a "Statue of Liberty" collection, well you can. Or looking for ducks to add to to your Uncle Bill's duck collection? They're here! It's easy sometimes to forget to eat a meal, when you're signed on to eBay.
SELLING ON eBAY IS EVEN MORE FUN THAN BUYING!
It seems like there's almost always someone who wants to buy something you don't want any more. One of my biggest surprises as a seller was how eager people were to purchase a set of dishes I'd never used. I've sold things for other folks, too, on a commission, and they've been delighted to see their "white elephants" go "like hotcakes." Hmmm. Wonder if I searched "white elephants...." Well, maybe later.

BE CORDIAL AND BUSINESSLIKE - THIS IS A BUSINESS
So I leave feedback when feedback is due - when you have paid for your auction! I don't believe in holding your positive feedback "hostage" until you leave me feedback first. If I have to leave negative feedback, it will be straightforward and accurate, and I will continue to be respectful. But before I leave it, I'll make every attempt to work out the problem privately.
EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKES, NO ONE IS PERFECT
It seems inevitable that mistakes occur, and I hope to be courteous and respectful when that happens to me. I certainly have made mistakes, as well, and appreciate it so much when people point them out to me. Nearly every mistake can be corrected.
KEEP IT SIMPLE!
I try to avoid making lots of rules and conditions on my listings, while also giving the basic information a buyer needs to know about the sale. I'm very open to negotiating some issues, and flexible about deadlines and refunds.
