Boxer with Boy (One of my favorite Kelley Paintings)

A Little Bit About us:
Kelley - Is a self taught artist who credits the Lord for being born with a paint brush in his hand. He was just a teenager when he had his first gallery showing and was hired as a full time commercial artist shortly after graduating from high school. As well as working for the same company full time for nearly 20 years, he also continued to show in gallerys such as "The Cotton Terry Gallery" in Austin Texas.
Over the years he has been commissioned by many private and commercial collectors from all over the world. A couple of Kelley's most prized commissions include a portrait for Bob Hope and portrait for Lady Bird Johnston of her husband, which hangs in his Presidential Library.
Cheryl - I am a self taught artist who has always had a passion for creativity. For me, the arts have always been a form of emotional expression. I have taken many classes over the years and of course Kelley has pretty much taught me everything I know about realism, but for me the painting process has always been about contemplating and expressing thought and feeling. I hope that it shows in my work.
Kelley and I have been selling our paintings on ebay for aprox. 2 years now. We want to thank you! It's be cause of you and people like you that we get to do what we love to do.... Paint!
Great news! Now that I have retired from teaching, Kelley and I are both painting full time from our home in Florida. We are still getting settled, but keep an eye out... you should see a slow increase in the number of paintings we will be able to offer....
Several things prompted us to make the move.
One: We wanted to be closer to my parents (who retired here from Massachusetts). They are both having health issues and being closer will allow us to be here for them as needed.
Two: As many of you know Kelley has Degenerative Disk Disease. We are hoping that the more warmer climate will help eleviate some of his chronic discomfort.
Three: We love painting! And now that we are officially "empty nesters" it seemed the perfect time to set up our lives and give ourselves the opportunity to do more of it!
