Welcome!
Hi there! I wanted to update my eBay'ers and tell you I am recently married, to a wonderful and supportive man. So you should start seeing more of my creations on eBay before the holidays are in full swing! See you soon....
"I'm a full time artist who makes fantasy dolls and figures from fabrics, fibers and mixed media. "I like to make beautiful, mystical and whimsical art dolls because it's the type of art I like to have around me." She is inspired by fairy tales, folklore and mythology. Most of her larger pieces are painted cloth with portrait style faces drawn with artist pencils and markers. "I prefer cloth; natural fabrics and fibers to create my pieces because of the textures and warmth and feelings that the fabric lends to a piece. Cloth is very pliable and has endless possibilities." Paula has no formal art training, other than a few basic art classes in high school. She has studied on her own and through trial and error and lots of practice, creates the pieces she does today. She continues to study the folklore and fairy tales of many cultures which is inspiring new creations every day. Paula has won doll making awards and recognition, has written for a few different doll making and craft magazines and publishes her own doll making patterns for other seamstresses to try their hand at making a faerie or two."
Nature inspires me to create little faery creatures that I imagine flitting around in my garden or living on the edge of the tangled woods & forests of these Ozark Mountains where I was born & raised and live today.
I love creating whimsical jesters and am working on several of the funny fellows, trying to extract them from my daydreams and onto paper to share with you all...
