Maddie's Mercantile was created out of a desire to be able to work for ourselves, and from home.  This opportunity allowed us to spend quality time with Ande's mom.  In the spring of 2006 it became necessary to move her out to California from Michigan to live with us.

After talking extensively with our friends in Florida who are eBay Power Sellers, it was clear how we could earn money and care for mom at the same time.

Mom passed in January 2008, and we have been able to stay at home working and now helping to care for Sharon's 95 year old Grandma. Maddie's Mercantile is a very special place to us, and we hope you enjoy your time at Maddie's Mercantile as much as we do!!!
