I was raised in the rural farmlands of upstate New York and attended Syracuse University, later earning my BA in studio art from Rollins College where I had an opportunity to study art abroad.

After moving to Massachusetts and having a family of my own, I worked at everything from real estate to theatre to politics- but I kept painting! -and found time to co-found an art center for local artists (in a previously abandoned school building).

I continued to study painting with listed American artists -including Scott Prior and Jim Schantz, entered solo and group shows.continued to sell. I sold my work at juried regional and national exhibitions, art shows and art workshops. My work is in corporate, museum and private collections.

I live in Saratoga Springs, NY with my husband and our toy Schnauzer, 'Dixie'. Most of the time I paint in my studio from color notes and drawings but sometimes I paint on location during our travels.
