Background Brief:
Life-long collector and 40-year member of the American Philatelic Society [APS]. Specializing mostly in United States pre-1940 period stamps, including selected back-of-the-book issues. Successfully served as a Bourse Dealer in the seventies and early eighties while purchasing several advanced stamp collections and estate accumulations to acquire saleable material.
By the mid-eighties and following the rapid decline of philatelic marketplace speculation, initiated disposition of principal philatelic holdings via major auctions, and subsequently began offering any remaining popular United States sets and selected classic single stamps via the APS Sales Division mail circuits. This latter activity continued until the APS established its on-line StampStore during the 2000-2001 timeframe.
APS StampStore:
As of early 2008, had posted a cumulative nearly two-million dollars worth of stamp retail value [representing over twenty thousand lots] on the StampStore site, and have subsequently continued the process of annually submitting virtually thousands of competively-priced lots for interactive on-line sales availability to participating APS members.
