~ HOW WE MAINTAIN SUCH A LOW PRICES ~

The reason we can sell our pearls and pearl jewelry at such a low prices is due to our long years of good relationship with mayor pearl farm, that give us the ability to buy directly from them, without going through a middle man/distributor.

This allows us to purchase those pearls for dramatically lower prices, and offer our pearls to you for far below wholesale prices.

Jewelry stores, who often buy from wholesaler like us, normally pay about twice our cost for their pearls. And their markup is pretty high, usually 700 to 800 percent. You will not see that kind of markup here at Pearl society!

APPRAISALS

Please note that, due to the high volume that we sell, we do not offer any certificate or an appraisal service. This is due to the extravagant cost that would be involved and especially due to the time that would be consume in doing so. All our merchandise come nicely pack in beautiful jewelry box and with an invoice/packing slip only.

Akoya Pearl Grading Guide

When grading a whole strand of pearls necklace, the percentage blemishes should take into consideration. The less such blemishes the better quality of the strand. We grade quality of a pearl strand by determining what percentage of blemishes from the whole strand. AAA grade Akoya pearls are unblemished to very slightly blemished. AA+ and AA grade pearls are very lightly blemished to slightly blemished pearls. A+ and A grade pearls are slightly blemished to lightly blemished. For a strand of pearls, 0-5% pearls with minor blemishes is considered unblemished to very-very slightly blemished. 10-15% is slightly blemished. We consider 20-30% is blemished pears and we reject those pearl strands.

A to A+

Medium to Lightly Blemished, Slightly Off round to mostly round.

AA to AA+

Slightly blemished to lightly blemished, mostly round to perfect round.

AAA

High Luster and Excellent Thick Nacre. Flawless to very-very slightly blemished. Round/Perfect round.
