Welcome to the About Me for The Penn Dutchman, an online auction company providing buyers with products, services, and resources that are unique, high-quality, and affordable.

We have been selling under the name "penndutchman1" on eBay for the past 8 years, full-time. We are a family-run business where we've tried, over the years, to build on good service. FEEDBACK ISSUES

PLEASE, communicate with us BEFORE leaving feedback. All issues can and will be resolved, if you just give us the chance. We can assure you that we are nice folks who are just trying to make a living on eBay.

If you are having communication issues with us, please do not assume that we are intentionally doing anything to impede the speedy processing of your transaction. There is usually another explanation.

If you are not getting a response via email:

1. Check to make sure you are writing to our customer service e-mail at penndutchman@gmail.com .
2. Our outbound Winning Buyer Notices and other automated emails originate from penndutchman@gmail.com, and that address is programmed so that replies are sent to our customer service address. If you circumvent the automated feature and write to that address, our response may be delayed.
3. It is possible that one of our junk-mail filters is blocking your email. If you are not getting a response, try sending an email through eBay, or call us at (773) 561-2263.

USPS or FedEx Shipping:
Your Choice!

We can ship via USPS or FedEx. Most people choose basic USPS shipping but, it is still your choice.

No matter which service you choose, we are glad to provide you with the method that fits your needs, not just the one most convenient for us.

Tracking numbers are e-mailed upon request once your item ships with FedEx Ground Service.

Postcards and Small Photos

Postcards and small photos are shipped in a plastic sleeve inside 1/3 of a thick card-stock manila folder in a #10 envelope.

All shipments outside the US will be extra so please contact us for other shipping rates.

Magazines and Brochures

Magazines and brochures are usually shipped in a plastic sleeve inside a manila folder. A thicker stiffener is used when appropriate.

We ship all items First Class USPS, unless the item weighs over 1 pound, then either Media Mail or Priority Mail.

Packages

For most other items, we use corrugated cardboard boxes to ship items. The boxes are normally similar to the size of the item, however in certain circumstances, we may choose to double-box the item. Fragile items are packed with newspaper, bubble-wrap, or eco-peanuts, whichever is appropriate.

Shipments to outside of the U.S.

We gladly ship around the world. Our posted shipping rates on our auctions are for US Shipments only. If you need international shipping rates, please contact us before bidding on the item to prevent any problems.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

If you have won or are bidding on one of our auctions, you will need the below payment information to complete the auction transaction.

1. Use eBay Checkout or wait for Winning Buyer Notice: Once you have won an auction or used Buy It Now to make your purchase, you can use eBay Checkout or simply wait for our email.

If you are sending a Paypal payment, a link will be provided at the end of the eBay Checkout process. A link is also provided from the listing.

If you are mailing a payment, instructions are included in eBay Checkout and our Winning Buyer Notice (as well as below).

2. You MUST include the following with your payment:

• Your eBay (or other site) ITEM NUMBER. If you do not include this, it may delay or even prevent your shipment. NO ITEM NUMBER - NO SHIPMENT!
• The TITLE of the listing
• YOUR official e-mail address for the venue you bought from (important if you have multiple e-mail addresses).
• A separate 8-1/2" x 11" piece of paper with your eBay number, name, shipping address, and request for insurance (if applicable). The easiest way is to print page 1 of 1 of our payment information e-mail.
• Sales Tax of 10 percent if you live in Illinois
  

2. We accept only the following forms of payment:

• Pay us immediately with Paypal using the Paypal Button at the end of eBay Checkout, or from the original listing..

  You will need to fill in your Item Title and eBay Number, eBay User ID, Winning Bid Amount, S&H, and Insurance (if applicable) manually.

• Personal/Business Check - held until cleared for those with less than 10 positive feedbacks, or negative feedbacks.
• Money Order (Postal, Bank, etc.)
• Postal Money Order
• Cashier's Check

3. We do not accept the following forms of payment:

5. Insurance Terms

• Insurance starts at $1.75 and cover up to $50.00 USD. If you wish for more insurance, please visit the post office web site for their rates.
• Buyer assumes ALL risk for damage or lost shipments if insurance is not taken.
• Insurance for Canadian and other non-US shipments is either more expensive or not available.
• If you send US insurance amounts for a non-US shipment, your item will be shipped uninsured.
• UPS shipments include Insurance.

Shipping/handling/insurance fees are nonrefundable, and the buyer is responsible for shipping the item safely back to us before refunds will be given. Items shipped back to us uninsured will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Refunds will not be given prior to settled Insurance claims when damage or loss is covered by Insurance.

Items returned to us must not be used, altered, damaged, or different in any way than the condition at the time the auction was listed.
