What can I say about me, that Might be interesting? I am happily married to a wonderful woman, she imported me to the US from Canada.. She preferred French. What Can I say, its in the tongue!  We recently bought a house and both work full time jobs, we both like shooting, Skeet being by far my favorite, Her Ruger .22 is her favorite…

We enjoy working together, She likes making Quilts, I like sleeping in them, she likes Embroidery, I like wearing it.. But we both enjoy turning Pens.

It all started with Overtime at work, I had the chance to work a lot of overtime, and she decided I needed a new passion to keep me home! So she bought me a pen turning lathe, a drill and enough wood and pen kits to get me addicted! So now we have a Frenchman addicted to wood!

We sold a few pens on EBay, and decided it was possible to have a hobby that could support it’s self. After all, who needs more then a few pens in their collection? I mean you need all sorts of pens in “Your” collection! ;)

My wife, Vicky and I both believe in Christianity, and in helping others, and after selling a few pens, saw that there was some thing better that could be done with the trade Jesus also had. Woodworking!

Taking lots of love, placing it in a little area and making a masterpiece out of what used to be a magnificent tree! A wooden Pen, Hmmm, modern yet useful, Colorful, highly polished to bring out the natural grains of the wood… I like it!

So now we come to an interesting point, Will we get rich selling pens made one at the time? Not likely, unless we start producing Mont Blanc pens, we will never reach the millionaire status. But there are more then one ways to become rich!

Donate any surplus that derives from making a pen that is above and beyond what I absolutely need to make them and keep making them.

We have a winning situation! It’s the Christian thing to do! Believe it or not, doing the Christian thing is what made our credit to buy our house. It is what gave us both our daytime jobs… (We both work in the security industry) And it is how we met!

Only logical we would keep that going in our own special way. But how?

GPS Classic

A while back, there was a lady at work who had to stay home to take care of her husband, she missed many days of work, and as we work for a company that cares about us, they allowed her to be at home with her husband. Problem is, she now has taken up all her vacation time, and is thorn between the need to be with the one she loves in his time of need, and the need to put food on the table! THAT is a tough place to be! I don’t know her well, she is on a different shift then I am, but I do know of her. And I know she is suffering even if she won’t show it to me. Our employer asked if we would donate a day, an hour, or any monetary exchange to help her out… I haven’t been there long enough to give up my vacation days, I haven’t had any vacation in a while myself. With all the bills and things to pay, we are not far ahead of her. But we are rich in the arts! We can produce some thing people want, and some thing where even a few dollars at the time, I can make her life easier. Pen turning!

I can turn pens, you can look and bid on them, anything over the basic cost of making the pen can go to her. I won’t get rich, but I will be rich because my craft will help her out!

On a side note, I myself am a Cancer Survivor, so I know some of what she is going through. And if this was me lying in a bed, I would certainly want some one to share their “Art” to my cause.

So I decided any exceeding profit to my art would go to a fund. A fund that can be used to help people around me and make me RICH in friends!

So remember, every time you buy a pen from me, you are helping someone in need and keeping my “art” alive.
