We live in a quaint little seacoast town in New England. I have a wonderful husband, one son, one daughter and 3 little
adorable Yorkshire Terriers, Demitasse, Lexi and Bailey Boy. We have a fourth Yorkie named "Baby" but she couldn't mind
her "p's & q's" with the other dogs, so she is living with my mother in Pennsylvania, on a permanent vacation.
We miss her, but see her all the time.
This is a picture of my daughter and "Baby Cakes" when they were both little.

How we got our name "Periwinkle Blue Gap"
We are called "Periwinkle Blue Gap" by our friends, family and neighbors. Our seacoast town (and our home) is a few minutes from the Massachusetts border, and a few minutes from the border of Maine. We are located midway between New York City and Canada. We are also midway between Boston and ski country/vacation resort country in upper Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. This is the "Gap" part of our moniker. We have a constant flow of visitors from January for skiing, to spring for mud season festivities, to summer for the beach and lakes and mountains, through fall for leaf peeping, straight through to November and December and holiday attractions and skiing again. We have friends who love the ocean and
fishing or boating and friends who love the lakes and hiking. We serve a LOT of "Lobsta" dinners with local clams and mussels. 10 years ago we moved to a larger house so we would have 2 extra bedrooms for our friends and family as their stop "gap" on their way to their "real" vacations.
We were dubbed the "Periwinkle Blue" house, not because the outside of our house is blue (it is a
sleek gray with white trim) but because I absolutely love the color periwinkle blue. I have the kitchen, dining room, master bed & bath, 1 of our guest bedrooms and our living room all painted in various shades of periwinkle. I love blue flowers, especially hydrangeas (see pics below) and have planted 3 of our 15 gardens in all blue flowers. I have blue bird baths, blue wicker outdoor furniture, blue planters, blue bird feeders and a blue swimming pool. . . drive by our house in the summer months and you will be surprised by the color blue! We often have people stop with
their cameras for photos. Inside and outside, my home is an artist's/photographer's inspiration.
With the non stop guests at the "Gap" and the dominant color "Periwinkle Blue" it is not a surprise that we were named "Perwinkle Blue Gap" and we cherish it. If we ever open a bed and breakfast up here in New England, it will be called "Periwinkle Blue Gap" too!

Along with creating jewelry, which I sell in local retail/gift shops, I paint, watercolor, decoupage, teach, AND we own an embroidery business! The dog breed business in embroidery is exploding. We are helping many rescue operations help raise money for their non-profits, with embroidered dog breed shirts and hats. We are also currently embroidering company logowear for 3 nursing homes, 2 softball teams, 1 up-and-coming rock band (they love hoodies), horse show organizers, 2 cat fancy groups, our local school sports teams, 1 zoo, 2 garden clubs, 1 firesweep company and several other local companies. We embroider gear for several hospitals near Boston for their annual walks and fundraising activities and we currently obtain the National Easter Seal Account.
Now, back to jewelry. My brother and his wife make lampwork beads and have taught my daughter and I how to make them. Here is a picture of my daughter concentrating on that flame and heating up her glass rod in her right hand, to wrap around the mandrel in her left hand! She is only 10 years old, but what a trooper. She loved the glass rods and that flame!

I love creating jewelry and have been purchasing beads, findings and supplies for years. I was purchasing my supplies
at big chain craft stores. The prices in those stores are very high and most of the time, they don't have what I want or need. So, after a few years of searching high and low for good prices on 2 hole beads, I started importing them from overseas manufacturers. I decided to start selling my finds on ebay for others who are making jewelry for fun or their own business.
Below are some pictures of jewelry I have created and sold including a necklace with periwinkle blue lampwork beads my brother made, which I called "A Walk Through the Rose Garden" it is a fun, unique necklace and was scooped up by a customer immediately. I use 2 hole beads, crystals, watch faces, glass beads, lampwork beads, encased floral lampwork beads, seed beads and just about any kind of bead or finding you can think of. Enjoy the pictures and contact me if you have any questions or comments. . .
