We work to help promote fair legislation concerning pets+animals, and work to oppose those laws that are both anti-pet based, or are brought forth based upon false "facts" spread by proponents of ending pet ownership overall.
We link to Petdefense (http://petdefense.wordpress.com) online, which has probably the most information useful to pet advocates opposing animal rights. Groups such as HSUS Peta Last chance for Animals, Best Friends and more employ questionable tactics to manipulate the public, resulting in a skewed view rather than the truth, of what is actually happening in pet laws. For example, HSUS claims to save animals, but in reality is behind the scenes pushing anti-PET laws in 20 states, telling the public never to buy/sell a pet, or birds, or reptiles,and that none of them should be owned as pets.
Further, HSUS purposely uses puppies/kittens as marketing ploys to snare the unwary, unsuspecting pet owner, into DONATING $$$ to them. HSUS is NOT animal welfare, but is animal rights. Just like Peta, that kills up to 90-97% of animals, HSUS tells shelters to kill animal after 72hr. That is NOT our idea of saving shelter animals, but you probably didn't know that HSUS tells shelter that, right?
Most recently, HSUS seized puppies from foster homes and had them killed, and also does the same thing with seized animals from HSUS raids---and these raid go on every week, according to the letter sent out by HSUS and their convicted felon(s) employees such as JP Goodwin. We already have insider evidence that HSUS will conduct raids on innocent pet owners and stay at their homes for 12 hours, interrogating relentlessly. This should not be happening!! We also are aware that HSUS takes pictures of innocent people who may sell dogs and inserts those innocent people's pictures/video cuts into the HSUS "puppymill" videos!!!
Not only is that false and damaging, it is not disclosed so it was obviously done on purpose. That is an actionable legal claim! Such things are going unreported but should NOT BE TOLERATED!
