My Name is Laura. I originally went to college to become a medical illustrator, primarily because I knew the pay was really good and I knew how to draw. However, the coarse electives were eliminated, and I thought I could pursue illustration and graphic design. Well, by the spring semester of my senior year, I decided to pursue my art in a more fine art way. I decided to focus on conservation and wildlife, which has always been a passion of mine.
I traveled to exotic places like Kenya, Tanzania, Hawaii, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton to pursue my passions for wildlife.
I was in advertising, when my ex-husband and I decided to start our own financial services business. I was sooooo excited because this would allow me my financial freedom to pursue my dreams. After 8 years in the business I am starting a new venture combining all my talents into a one of a kind, state of the art facility, MedSpa New England. See link below for more info.
As far as my art, it is currently collected all over the USA, Canada, the UK, & Australia and most commission work are portraits of children, family, and animals (mostly pets). I live in a small rural town, next to the birthplace of where cranberry farming first originated. Our little town is also well known for is horse farms and organic farming. I am in the state where the American Revolution began, the Pilgrims 1st landed, & the USS Consitution is anchored.
