I've always been a packrat, but my passion for Antiques began with my 9 year old son. He brought home an old Gordon's Dry Gin bottle he found while fishing. Since then, it's been "Katie bar the door". We've dug bottles, gone to garage sales and flea markets until I've had to start selling off some of my finds to keep peace in my house. My husband is an angel, but he can only take so much. When our new house had no room in the 2 car gargage for the car, it was time to start getting rid of some of it. My son, now 35, still shares my enthusiasm and takes me out to sales in his area when I visit.
My hobbies are numerous. I grew up camping and fishing, but got away from it when I married. I've recently introduced my husband, "a city boy", to the joys of fishing and now we go whenever we get the chance. We recently returned from a vacation in Chelan, Washington. While there we trolled for trout in gorgeous Lake Chelan. We caught 4, not records for that lake, but 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb lake trout. They made nice meals for us and we can't wait to go again.
