We sometimes buy used instruments only because they are cheaper than new ones. It’s good reasoning, but in order to really save you must take it a step further, choose the best used instrument for your pocketbook and needs in a systematic way - with confidence.

Maybe you just bought a used clarinet on Ebay....it needs new pads, corks, etc or maybe your child already has a clarinet that only needs a cork replaced - something most of us can do. It’s possible to buy 1 piece of cork with installation instructions from me, do the work yourself and save a bundle

I hand cut each piece of cork, therefore you can measure the tenon width of the old ‘no name’ clarinet that’s been sitting in your closet and send me the measurement.

High clarinet/woodwind repair cost are mostly for labor, parts are relatively cheap - music stores are not motivated to sell pads and cork because “repairs” is where the money is, not in selling parts.

The service I provide is designed to fill this niche…….give the parent on a budget a chance to repair/maintain their child’s instrument (maybe even allow the child to participate) at a very small fraction of normal cost - one buyer was proud to announce that he saved $300 - and he only spent $30.

For those who cannot or do not want to do their own repairs I offer various repair services at a quick turn around time and very reasonable rates.
