Why I'm selling on Ebay

In my twenties, about 10 years ago, many of my friends would come to me and ask about various Christian artists and if I had this or that record. I had bought quite a few records during the time that CD's were new and vinyl was an endangered species. I eventually accumalated about 600-700 records, many from the 70's. After agonizing over which records to keep in my own personal collection, I was left with about 300 to sell, some of which are 2nd copies of artists I already have, so don't worry, I've still got my classics, although I do debate sometimes whether to sell certain titles. If you have something you're looking for, feel free to e-mail me and if I have it, I'll offer it for auction. In addition, I've started going back to some of my old haunts(used record stores, thrift shops, etc.) to look for more records and CD's, something I love to do. AAHH, the smell of musty records, searhing for treasure. In case you're wondering, I specialize in Christian music and include all categories such as CCM, Alternative-Metal-Rock, So. Gospel, and you might even pick up on my affection for good Rap music! I've got a diverse taste in music so you'll likely find something you like each week! I try to start the bidding at what I think is a reasonable price, gennerally $3-5, unless it is something that I know is pretty collectible. I initially planned to do this as a hobby, but after a couple of months, realized how much we love doing this and now my wife and I are pretty much doing it full time. Yes we're a "MOM & POP" operation! We consider ourselves blessed to offer be able to offer a service to others sharing something that I'm so thankful to have been introduced to about 15 years ago. I don't care what anyone says, there are some truly great and creative artists in Christian music!

Some Personal Stuff

In case you're wondering about the name "Swinging Richard", I got the nickname at Cornerstone, a incredible Christian music festival held in Illinois each year. It was 1990 and two of my favorites, 77's and Swirling Eddies(DA) were playing, and at each show I danced like a madman, which totally surprised my friends and they dubbed me "Swinging Richard, because I was(and still am) a swinging kind of guy! In addition to selling on ebay I'm a ceramic artist/studio potter and try to spend one day/week in the studio making new work! In regards to my user ID, yes I'm bald, for those of you who wonder. Bald Men Rock!! As for the philosophic part, I'm a thinker and especially enjoy and am challenged by Christian apologetics. My heros are Francis Schaeffer and the Apostle Paul.
