Anthony Ray Lindgren 1957-1998 A True Fairy Tale Anthony and Phoenix met as teenagers at a midnight showing of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" on August 13, 1977. They went out on their first date the next day and married exactly one year later. In 1983, Anthony was involved in a motorcycle vs. truck accident in which he received a broken leg. Because Anthony had a very mild form of the bleeding disorder called hemophilia, he was given a blood plasma derivative known as factor VIII to control bleeding in his leg. He was infected with HIV by the Factor VIII. In 1993 Anthony developed full-blown AIDS. With Phoenix's loving care he managed to survive viral meningitis, a stroke, blindness, seizures, and infection with an odd array of unpronounceable viruses and bacteria. Unfortunately her love was not enough to keep him alive, and on September 24, 1998 the fairy tale came to an end, as Anthony died of multiple organ failure. The Toys While recovering from the motorcycle accident in 1983, Anthony enjoyed watching "The Transformers" cartoons on television. The purchase of one of these wonderful changeable robot toys lead to another, and another, until the entire first generation - and many licensed peripheral items was amassed. The obsession grew to include Thundercats, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Garbage Pail Kids, and ultimately lots of Disney and Warner Bros. character items, as well. Phoenix has decorated their home with hundreds of toys and collectibles from this collection, but cannot display everything, so she has decided to share some of it with other collectors through e-bay auctions.
