. This is my storage facility/photo studio/packaging center/garage - tidied up and ready for action. I've been an eBay member since 1998, a seller since 2000. When I first started I had a day job as well -- editor/writer for a newsletter on grants and funding programs for schools and nonprofit organizations. When the company was bought out, I decided to convert my eBay from a hobby to a business. Now I'm able to do something I enjoy as well as spend more time with my family.
I spend a good chunk of time each week combing the local estate sales, auctions, church and yard sales as well as thrift shops for unappreciated treasures. My policy is to pick up things that I like -- great little pieces of everyday design and quirky items with just the right amount of kitsch -- and hope they'll strike the same chord with you. I look for the same in the clothing that I sell. High quality, well-designed items - whether modern or vintage - that you'll feel great about wearing.
If you're into vintage clothing I'm planning on running a series of vintage auctions every weekend in conjunction with my new Circular Vintage/Phreed83 MySpace page. MySpace members who add me as a friend will receive a dollar off shipping on any of my items (vintage clothing or not).
Aside from the MySpace page, my eBay blog. offers a sneak preview of other upcoming auction goodies; some fun links and a little slice of my eBay-life.
Winning bidders will receive an automated invoice from Paypal that includes shipping costs and the address for alternative payment methods. Paypal payment is preferred - it's quicker for everyone involved -- but I also accept money orders and personal checks. Checks for more than $50 must clear before your item will be sent. Also note that e-checks (Paypal payments drawn from a bank account) have a delay of about 5 business days before they register as paid. International buyers should contact me via an invoice request or through eBay messages for shipping costs.
If I don't hear from you or receive a payment within a few days of an auction closing I will send another invoice as a reminder and I may also contact you via eBay messages. I'm not a stickler for the 10-day payment rule so long as you give me a head's up and let me know when to expect payment. However, an item may be relisted if I haven't heard from you or received payment in 2 weeks or so.
As you can see from my feedback I ship quickly and with great care. Fragile items are wrapped in bubble wrap and a cardboard sleeve then nestled in paper or packing peanuts inside a sturdy box. Cloth items are wrapped in tissue and mailed in a padded envelope or Priority Mail shirtbox. Books are mailed in padded envelopes Most items are sent via the US Postal Service. Bulky items and large items over 4 pounds are sent via Fedex Ground Home Delivery - and require a street address. I ship worldwide from the 40056 zip code. Please contact me for international shipping costs.
