I'm 37 years old, married with 3 fantastic
kids.
I started trading around 4 years ago &
probably like you, I purchased a "make easy" money strategy from a
mail shot. The manual looked good so I set up my first trading account. I then
deposited my £200 & started "trading".
I had a few minor success & then thought i
knew better than the market. This is where it went horribly wrong! I then
proceeded to lose money super fast as i would have one losing trade & in
anger, try to get that money back! It didn't work...
so, I then purchased another manual promising
wealth beyond my wildest dreams & sure enough, the first trade i placed
produced a loser! Isn't it always the way, that as soon as you start on any
system, you do so on a losing day?!
Eventually I lost £400 within one hour
just being completely stupid about my trading.
At this point i lost all hope, I was close to
tears & felt i should ring my wife up & own up to my loss. Her reaction
to my voice stays with me to this day. She actually thought someone had died by
the sound of my trembling voice & tearful confession.
That was it for me! No more trading, done
dusted & back to my eBay stores that were doing ok.
But something kept drawing me back.....
After 4 weeks since my "loss" i
decided things needed to change! If i was to be serious about trading then i
needed to learn everything, & i mean everything!
I deposited no money into my trading accounts
but still watched the charts, day after day, night after night ,looking for that
elusive "holy grail". After about six months I realised that it wasn't
there but I just needed to find out what the successful traders were doing &
copy them.
I researched online, went to free seminars,
forums & much more & one day the penny dropped. This was like a
revelation!
All of a sudden everything fell into place! It
isn't about looking for a magical formula or some fancy system, no, it's very,
very simple. I back tested it, forward tested it, tested under live conditions
& even went back to those previous "rubbish" strategies & it
all fell into place.
I have not looked back since & after being
made redundant at the start of the credit crunch I was able to earn a living
full time from trading.
If I can show one other person how to do this
then I have succeeded in what i've set out to do..
