If you've come this far, then no doubt you've already taken a look at my auction items. You may wonder why someone with the user name piperpilot1 is selling Harley-Davidson t-shirts instead of Aviation t-shirts. Well, it all started when I was born in a little log cabin......

Okay, that's not how it all started. When I first started selling items on eBay it was because, as a pilot (a Piper Cherokee pilot), I'm an avid collector of high quality diecast WWII airplane replicas. But they were so hard to find at a reasonable price that I decided to take a stab at buying case lots of the planes directly from the manufacturer, keeping one plane, and selling the rest on eBay.

After a few years and literally thousands of sales on eBay, the manufacturer decided to disconinue making the planes. By then I had expanded my sales to include Aviation books and videos, but the planes made up the bulk of my sales.

So the question became....stop selling on eBay, or find something else to sell. It had to be something that I was into, as I wasn't interested in selling can openers. Since flying is my first love, and Harleys are my second, the logical choice was to start selling Harley t-shirts. I have an arrangement with several Harley dealerships to buy their excess stock in lots of 100s of shirts at a time. Now, like with the planes, I share something I like and make a little money on the side. It's certainly no way to make a living, but it pays for gas...and like with the planes, I wind up with a lot of Harley t-shirts I keep for myself.

So that's the long and short of it. I don't imagine that Harley will decide to stop making t-shirts, but if they do.....well then, there's always 4 wheeling.....my third love.

Funny how I seem to have gravitated to 2, 3, and 4 wheel modes of transportation and amusement.
