Hello everyone and
welcome to my About Me page! My name is Kendall and I have been selling on eBay
since 2001. I have now sold several thousand items (not everyone leaves feedback)
and enjoyed every minute of it. My goal is satisfy every customer I have and my
feedback score of 99.9% positive represents that goal. This
page is to share some stuff about me. If you have any questions about my auctions
or policies, please contact me or check out any ofmy current auctions for more information.
About Me
Well, I maintain a
website about me and my other business, so if your curious you can check
it out. But in a nut shell... here is a little about me. I love to scuba dive,
travel, and take pictures of wildlife. I have a wonderful wife who travels with
me. I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and earned a BS degree in Statistics. I
also love cooking, especailly foods I was introduced to when traveling.
Countries I Have Shipped To:
One of the most rewarding
aspects of selling on eBay is meeting and shipping items to people all around
the world. Here is a list of countries I have shipped items I have sold on eBay
to.

Mexico
China
Canada
Brazil
Japan
Norway
England
Sweden
Germany

Favorite Items I Have Sold:
I don't sell any specific
item or category of items. I see a little bit of everything and over the years
I have had a few favorites.
I sold
these beehive pokerchips back in 2004, they were made of clay. I had picked
them up at a garage sale because I had recently started playing poker
with some friends. They turned out to be from 1880 and sold on eBay for
around $240.00.
Here
is plastic camel radio that I sold. I always liked this strange item and
it was bid up to $70. This was one of the first items I sold on eBay and
it was very exciting to watch it get bid up.
Some of my Current Items for Sale
To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
Meeting people on eBay
is half the fun. I hear so many interesting stories and situations, I just had
to share a few. Unfortunatly, I just had this idea to post these stories in November
of 2007, and I have forgotten many of the wonderful situations and people I have
meet, I will try to post them as I remember.
A wonderful person named Cecile contacted me from Germany through eBay when I
was selling an old retro lamp. She asked if she could use my lamp photos for her
website of vintage desk lamps. I said sure and later checked out her website.
It is fantastic and I am happy to contribute some of my photos for her site. Check
out her site.
The Story Behind the One Negative Feedback I Got
Well, certaintly the
sadest day in my eBay career was the day I received my one and only negative feedback.
I take my customers satisfaction seriously, as shown by my feedback score, but
sometimes there is a little a seller can do to prevent an unsatisfied customer.
Here is what happened:
I had sold a camera lense on eBay and the winning bidder was a man in Italy. He
paid for the lens and I wrapped it carefully and shipped it right away off to
Italy. A week passed and I received an email from the man in Italy who had bought
the lens. He told me the lens was scratched and that I had not described the item
correctly. I had thoughly examined the lens before listing it and was certain
there were no flaws on it, but to give my customer the benfit of the doubt, I
asked him if he would like to return the lens to me and I would give him a full
refund. This is where the problem started. He stated he would like to keep the
lens (which sold for $300), but also have me wire him a full refund. I responded
saying I could do that and he needed to decside if he wanted to keep the lens
or wanted his money back. He responded saying shipping the lens back would cost
him $100.00 (it only cost me $8.00 to ship to Italy) and if I could send him the
$400 first, he would be happy to send me back the lens. I responded saying I would
not be able to send him an extra $100 to ship his lens back to me. He responded
with negative feedback. So that's how it happened.
I would love to hear your input on this situation. It happened several years ago,
but any support or critisim for how I handled the situation as a seller would
be apprecaited.
