This is a little bit about how I arrived here:
Everyone says I was born to be an artist. At a very early age, I asked for – and was encouraged in – paper dolls, jigsaw puzzles, making jewelry and clothing for my dolls, then myself and (later) my mom. Anything and everything to challenge an innate creativity – color, design, texture, fit, proportion, visual acuity, sense of rightness! Early on I chose cosmetology for a career path, successfully for quite a few years. But still searching toward a more satisfying personal goal, I tried stained glass as an art form. After buying books and supplies, reading and researching, I started creating sun catchers, using copper-foil method. Twenty-plus years later, after a highly successful career in the creation of stained glass ranging from low end to installations worth many thousands of dollars, I decided it was time to discontinue this endeavor, which required much travel, so I could spend time with my new granddaughter. Recognizing that there were still fields to conquer, the next step was painting figurines – primarily Santas – from pecan resin molds. But you can only give so many gifts, so it was time to reach for another challenge. I bought a computer, again teaching myself, and began to create graphics for invitations, posters, bulletins, and cards. My dad’s untimely death in 2003 left a real hollow in my life which was gradually filled by my piqued interest in scrapbooking. Needless to say, this developed into a full time hobby in a very short time during which I spent countless hours on research – as well as countless dollars in supplies and equipment. The more I thought about it, the more timely it became to enter the eBay market. Now it is time to branch out once again! So now I am entering another phase of growth in my life. Please bear with me as I learn to run my web store. It will take some time to master this but with the help of my two bright nephews I hope to conquer this too!
