Thousands upon thousands of cards need a new home
|
I sell collectibles too... mostly mixed baseball cards lots, but sometimes mixed sports cards and other trading cards and occasionally a specific card or 2. You never know what might pop up in my auctions so add me to your favorites and check back often. Be sure to request email updates to be kept up on sales and new listings!
A LONG NOTE ABOUT THE EBAY SHIPPING CALCULATOR...
In my experience on eBay using the shipping calculator for UPS shipments, it is often incorrect for multiple items from a single listing. Has almost never been correct for multiple items from separate listings (which is why totals need to be requested) and it occasionally inaccurate for single item purchases to some areas of the USA and other countries.
In short the shipping calculator for UPS shipments is often incorrect so feel free to inquire if the cost is uncertain or seems out of line.
There are multiple reasons for this including but not limited to destination (furthest from me usually gets more inaccurate), oversize packages compared to weight or when they are too fragile to pack together with another item. For supplies I use UPS almost exclusively and their limit is 70 pounds per package. The location, size, weight and durability of an item are just a few of the things that affect whether multiple items can ship together. The shipping calculator does not have options to cover all of the possibilities and in some instances it is just inaccurate even for a single item. So if purchasing multiple items or just unsure of the accuracty of the shipping costs feel free to contact me before bidding. The shipping costs are not negotiable but I will correct them if I find an error in the total. If the error causes the system to UNDERcharge you - I will "eat the loss" and you will pay the lower incorrect amount. However if the error is an OVERcharge and I notice it when I ship the goods I will send a partial refund as needed. I can not promise that I will catch the errors so if you have doubt about the total please contact me, preferably BEFORE paying and even better before bidding to minimize the mistakes and grief. I do not determine the cost of shipping, that is up to UPS or USPS and unfortunately some items cost more than others to ship. But it doesn't hurt to ask for confirmation of the shipping cost instead of just blowing off an auction. After all like the calculator I am not perfect and mistakes can happen. When in doubt ask first. You may be pleasantly surprised to find out buying multiple items in a single purchase saves a bundle! When making a best offer, please do not include the shipping in the offer price. If you want to confirm the shipping in the terms that is fine, but do not add it to the bid price.
side note about best offers
its best to make offers on MULTIPLE lots or items as opposed to trying to get 1 item for a better price. Bulk purchases typically give sellers more flexibility in pricing besides the fact you may save a bundle on shipping compared to purchasing separately.
... and now a FRIENDLY NOTE about DSR FEEDBACK for SHIPPING & HANDLING:
First thing I wish to point out is that UPS and USPS or whatever carrier are what establish the pricing for shipping. Handling when added is NOT postage but is what it costs to handle the package. Sometimes that fee covers labor or special equipment or other costs involved in packing and shipping your goods safely. The DSR feedback ratings should be based on whether you think the seller has charged fairly based on the actual cost to ship and handle a package. It should not be based on whether or not the shipping company (UPS/USPS/DHL/FEDEX or whomever) charge too much or too little postage. The feedback is meant to rate the seller, NOT rate the shipping company. Similarly DSR feedback for shipping time should account for the time it takes the seller to process your order and get your package to the carrier (UPS/USPS etc), NOT how long it takes the shipping carrier to get the package to you. Take into consideration weekends and holidays as well and the time it takes for ECHECKS to clear. If the carrier says it usually takes 5 business days to get to you that means WEEKDAYS and NOT holidays. So If you buy on Friday Afternoon your order is likely not going to get picked up by UPS or USPS until Monday THEN it will take UPS or USPS the time to get it to you. So if it normally takes 4 BUSINESS days for UPS to ship an item from Anderson, IN to Beverly Hills, CA and your payment is CLEARED on Thursday and you receive the item the following Thursday (7 days later) that means the seller shipped the item within 1 or 2 days of payment - I think thats worthy of 5 stars - I personally try to get all orders packed up the same day as payment and if early enough will get them to the shipping carrier. Also don't forget to account for snowstorms, tornados, electrical storms and other unpredictable occurences out of the sellers control.
