Hello and welcome to Pompey Parson’s Classic Games. My name is Patrick and I’m from a small town in Michigan called Port Huron. After graduating from Western Michigan University where I obtained a degree in Organizational Communication (Don’t ask me what kind of degree is that? Because I don’t know either.) and set out to find a job. Like any industrious graduate the resumes flew out with reckless abandon. Finally after some grueling interviews I landed a management position at a beverage company that shall remain nameless. After a year and a half of hating my job, I finally had it and said to hell with this and quit.
I had enough in savings to live off of for awhile but to supplement my income I decided to start selling some things on eBay. At first like everyone else it was just odds and ends that were lying around the house.I realized from the start that this was fun. After a while a friend of mine asked if I’d sell his Sega Genesis for him on consignment and that’s the spark that ignited the fuse.
I remembered the days of playing Genesis with my brother and the friends from my old neighborhood. The four way battles in General Chaos, The carnage of Road Rash, the pure adrenaline that came with injuring Jaromir Jagr in NHL ’94 and taking the opponents key weapon off the ice. The nostalgia was too much; I purchased a Sega Genesis off eBay that day.
Since then I haven’t looked back. Classic Video Games are what I’m passionate about and this eBay store gives me an outlet to share that passion with like minded people. Gone are the days of dealing with disgruntled grocers and trying to explain to them how our insurance will cover $1500 worth of Hallmark Cards that one of my guys ruined when a two-liter hit the floor and exploded all over them. Now the only thing I have to worry about during the day is saving the princess…oh and getting you your games on time.
Currently Playing: Earthbound (SNES)(Really liking it so far, wish I had a day where I could just play for a few hours straight.) Gunstar Heroes (Sega Genesis) (This game is a trip.)
