Pook & Pook, Inc.
About UsLocated in Chester County, Pennsylvania in the city of Downingtown (approximately 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia), Pook & Pook, Inc. is nationally recognized for its accurate appraisals and exciting auctions of quality antiques. Continued Growth Ronald and Debra Pook are a husband and wife team who have been committed to the field of antique furniture, accessories and fine art for more than thirty years. While Ronald Pook began his career in antiques as a dealer, he and Debra created Pook & Pook, Inc. Auctioneers and Appraisers in 1984. Since the mid-eighties, when Pook & Pook, Inc. held its first auction grossing $125,000, the firm has evolved many times over and is known for holding exciting auctions including the largest on-site, one-day auction ever held in the United States in June of 1999, which grossed over $4.3 million. Quality Service Believing in the personal service provided to clients by a smaller staff, Debra and Ron lead by example as they work closely on researching, photographing and handling the fine antiques offered during their high-energy auctions. Leading a staff of knowledgeable appraisers and auctions administrators, the Pooks work to not simply meet, but to exceed your expectations should you wish to purchase at an auction, to consign your collection, or simply to have your antiques appraised. Continuing to Expand With offices located in the same historic inn where their family business first started over three decades ago, in 2001 Debra and Ronald completed a three-year renovation of the 1761 building as well as an addition of a state of the art auction facility. These renovations afford the buying public greater ease of access to sale items through expanded exhibition hours, quality lighting and display. | |||||||||
