About Me
Thank you for taking the time to visit my “About Me” page. For those of you who just clicked here to solve the mystery of where the name Pooty Pootwell came from, I’ll address this first.
Pooty Pootwell is a name I got from the novel “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.” I read the book in college, and found the “Pooty Pootwell” part of the story quite amusing. Since then, the name has stuck with me – although no one calls me that, except for my husband (eBay seller eastormrt).
I am located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I have a full-time marketing job. eBay is definitely more of a hobby for me than a career, but it’s a hobby I’m passionate about none-the-less. I’ve been an eBay member since July of 2005. eastormrt and I live together with our three adorable and fuzzy cats: Cap’n, KitKat, & Paddington.
About What I Buy & Sell
Much of what I buy on eBay I just can’t get anywhere else. This is what makes eBay so exciting for me – buying things that would take me years to find by other means, I can find in just a few minutes!
While I have many personal interests (e.g. the Harry Potter books, Hello Kitty, punk & ska music, etc.) I only have one collection - and that’s Hallmark Christmas ornaments. So when Hallmark combines my personal interests with Christmas ornaments – look out. I’m a woman on a mission. I make it a point to collect every Harry Potter ornament and every “Special Cat” ornament I can get my hands on. Now I’m just waiting for Hallmark to come out with a Reel Big Fish or Green Day ornament – but I don’t foresee that happening anytime soon.
As for selling, I generally sell anything that has no value to me anymore (or never did to begin with). When eastormrt drags me to a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game, you’d better believe that whatever giveaway they have that night will be ending up on eBay. And when family says to me, “I just don’t know what to do with [fill in no-longer wanted article here] anymore,” my pat phrase is “Sell it on eBay” (which I more than happily do for them).
