Poppyseed Forest is the name of our place in the Sierra's of California.  Poppyseed was the name of a cow that our 4 year old added to the word Forest.  We live in a yellow reproduction of a Georgian Victorian house.  We love animals and have everything from horses to ducks.

     We started selling sunglasses 23 years ago at country Fairs.  The jewelry part is something I have always liked.  The sinks in our house as a kid were always filled with rocks that I found in the yard.  I liked to get them wet and the sink was better then licking the dirt off of them.    

     One thing that is important to us in our business is honesty.  I never mark something up just to give a 50% off sale if you know what I mean.  My prices are honest based on what I purchased them for.  I like using flat shipping rates because I believe it gives a truer price range on what shipping actually is.  I would never add to shipping rates to make more money for my items. I am always honest about what a product is and if I don't know what a stone or piece of jewelry is I will say so. I live out in the country so I do like to combine when possible more then one item to ship, at $2.30 a gal for gas, hehe.  I would rather cheat myself then a customer.  I always keep in mind how I want to be treated as a buyer and do that in return for those who purchase from me. I also like sending post cards of the area we live in to customers when win an auction.
