Price.Zimmer Auctions and Book Sales

Welcome to the sales room of Jim Zimmer and Susan Price.

Collectibles. These items are all from our personal collections. This means we bought them out of curiosity or passion and treasured them until new interests pushed them to the edge of our vision. There is only so much room in our house for treasures. Therefore we use eBay to find new homes for these items. It's always a thrill to find people with similar interests. Because our items tend to be so unique, we are not high-volume sellers. We are more boutique than warehouse. But because of this you can expect thoughtful answers to your questions and our best effort to make sure you are happy with your purchase.

Books. In our house, every new interest means at least 3 new books, often followed by a bookcase full of references. To save us from being crushed by collapsing bookshelves, we have to periodically cull some volumes from the shelves and put them up for sale on HALF.COM or eBay. Our books are always well cared for, never musty or tainted with tobacco smoke. We live only a couple hundred yards from the post office, so the books usually go out within hours of our confirmation.

Other items. Occasionally, we also need to pass along other household items -- computer drives, tape decks, etc. These are described as accurately as possible for you.

Philosophy. We really care about our customers -- one transaction at a time. We know that you want your item fast and without hassles. You want it to arrive at your doorstep intact. And you want to be able to return it if it wasn't what you expected. We're committed to making sure you get what you want.

About us. We live in the suburbs of Rochester NY. Jim is a professor emeritus in Community and Preventive Medicine. He is equally well known for his collector's "eye." Susan took early retirement from a career in youth services quality and strategy to pursue filmmaking and, er, collections management.
