Ron Hill Propellers

Props by Ron Hill, since 1969

 I have been in boating all my life. My dad started racing outboards in 1935. My brother started racing in 1949. I was born in 1944. My rocking horse had Blue Crown spark plugs screwed into where his ears should have been and his tail had a Water Witch propeller in its place. I cut my teeth on the steering wheel of my dad's C Racing Runabout. I started boat racing in 1955, at eleven, and raced until 1985. I've won the Parker Enduro twice, I've won The Havasu Outboard World Championships, I've won races in Europe...I raced for Evinrude from 1966 to 1976. I'm a member of the American Power Boat Association's Honor Squadron as was my father. I have raced and test hundreds of boats. I was a public school teacher for 38 years. I taught in Junior High for more than 25 years...I enjoyed teaching almost as much as I have enjoyed making propellers. In 1969, the year I got married, I started my business as Ron Hill Racing Props. My props have won thousands of championships. I love AMERICA and I love E-Bay. E-Bay is the FREE MARKET AT WORK. E-Bay has allowed me to market my propellers all over the world. I no longer have a retail shop. I basically work out of my house. I have a cell phone (714) 608-7147, but reluctantly answer it. There are so many different boats and different combinations, it is hard to keep up with people's needs. Emailing with customers, allows me to research needs, rather than pull something from the air, over the phone. E-Bay allows people to "SHOP" and if the prop doesn't work, they have a great place to sell a used prop. If you enjoy my store half as much as I do, you will be thrilled. I've posted many personal stories and pictures. I am a past Two time APBA Hall of Champions driver, APBA Honor Squadron member and OPC Chairman, I also check APBA.ORG daily. My teaching days are over, ...38 years is a long time, I have no regrets being a public teacher, but support vouchers 100 per cent. More than 50 of my old students are now teachers, I hope my propeller days are endless. I still do a lot of my own work, not all. I do some great propeller Blue Printing, or Lab Finishes as many call it, and just general repair.
