Hi, name is Andrew and I collect autographs among other things. I have over 9,000 + autographs. A mix of current movie /tv/sport/music and vintage/historical. But my first and greatest love is for military signatures, specially British military. I am fortunate to have signatures of men who fought in some of our proudest moments in history: THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN, D-DAY,WATERLOO,TRAFALGAR being just a few. Also, the CRIMEA, ZULU WARS, JUTLAND, DUNKIRK, EL ALAMEIN, TOBRUK, TELEMARK, DAM BUSTERS, ST NAZAIRE, THE GREAT ESCAPE, BISMARK/TIRPITZ, PEGASUS BRIDGE, ARNHEM, HIROSHIMA/NAGASAKI. I also have about 17 VC winners.

 

 Favourite autographs from my none military collection includeLAURENCE OLIVIER, JAMES CAGNEY, GINGER ROGERS, GEORGE RAFT, TREVOR HOWARD, JACK HAWKINS, JULIE ANDREWS, TELLY SAVALAS, AL PACINO.

Sport stars include. The ASHES winning ENGLAND CRICKET TEAM, THE 1952 BLACKPOOL FOOTY TEAM inc MATHEWS, BOXERS INC JAKE LA MOTA, FLOYD PATTERSON, ROBERTO DURAN, ALI, JOHN CONTEH joe calzaghe to name just a few. Other sport stars inc, COE, HURST, CHARLTON, COOPER, WADE, WELLS, CHRISTIE, too many to name.

So as you see, I have a good mix of autographs and signatures. So it may come as no surprise to you to know that I really do hate people who produce and sell FAKE autographs. If you also collect autographs, please visit our award winning group for some sound advice. Experts reckon between 70% and 90% of autographs on the market are fake.

This is the reason i started the community group "autograph collectors". We have almost 2000 members with very knowledgeable collectors and some of the best dealers in the world who offer free advice on everything from spotting a fake to what kind of pen to use on a glossy pic. we have a recommended dealers list second to non.

Some advice on buying autograph's on E-bay

1) Never bid when a seller is using private bidding.

2) Try to buy from ACAF, UACC, registered dealers.

3) If they have A-list stars week in week out and are not registered dealers, avoid them.

4) Get a lifetime guarantee. Take feedback with a pinch of salt.If the buyer did not know it was fake when they bid on the autograph, they still won't know when they receive it in the post.

5) Join the community group ACAF, or F.A.C.E, .
