I've been collecting since I was 9. Took my teen years off and finally dusted off the old shoebox in 1989. I've been hooked ever since.
The Show starts in 1989
Well after finding my old Topps cards from the early 70's, I discovered that things had changed just a bit by 1989. The introduction of Upper Deck in the market set a new standard. A year later I was paying $1650 for a box of 1986 Fleer Basketball. Pulled 2 Jordans and 2 Jordan Stickers. The box had just about 4 of every player. I also picked up my first Patrick Roy OPC rookie card for $5. I bought it because I liked hockey and thought it was a cool card. Favorite players growing up included Tony Esposito, Walter Payton. Loved the Big Red Machine and the Oakland A's in the 70's. The name Puckhd came from my Hugh Hockey card collection. I specialized in Hockey cards in my early dealer years but sell mostly Football now. I am currently finishing up one of the nicest 1973 Topps football graded sets. This was the year I started collecting cards. My 1973 set has 21- BVG 9 Mint cards & 1- BVG 9.5, most stars are BVG 8.5, Stabler, Youngblood, Tatum, Greenwood, Deacon Jones, Tarkenton, Anderson, Olsen, Griese, Hendricks, 23 total so far, and a BVG 8 Franco Harris rookie. The rest of my set was made from Vending cards.
Praise: Prompt email reply and extremely fast payment. The Best! Thanks!! A++
