Where it all began Jim Pavett opened Allusion Studios in 1983 out of his house. After getting an Electrical Engineering degree, he moved his business to a commercial facility. Within 5 years, he out-grew the old space and designed a 2800 sq foot facility. Jim's audiophile approach always makes him strive for new technology and the best sounding gear. Why? Jim decided to create a whole new approach to the pro audio store that began out of frustration by sales people failing to provide educated solutions. Usually, Jim already knew more about the products than the sales people. In addition, pro audio magazines have shootouts of products which result in an article. Did the writer make you want go out and buy the mic unheard? No. Did you notice there was a few minutes of dead time between comparisons and yet they noticed a .5db difference between products? Not likely possible. Have you ever read a bad review of a microphone? Of course not. How did any of that information help you? It didn't. The Solution - The Ultimate Pro Audio Store Jim utilized his engineering background to create for you, the consumer, a way to use shootouts and test samples to hear and experience the difference between the various microphones and equipment prior to purchasing. A strict scientific method approach was used. Even though all tests are never absolute, this is the closest thing to it. For instance, during the drum mic test, all the samples you are hearing are from the same exact performance on the same mic pres, at the same volume and same distance from the source. When you hear it back, there is no human performance error, or dead time between takes, etc. -- that is as absolute as it gets! Return Policy Pure Wave Audio has gone to great lengths to give you information to make you purchase correct the first time you buy. If you are not sure about your purchase, send us an email with your question. Our staff also runs a full commercial recording studio, so we can help you get the right product for the right job. Because of this, Pure Wave Audio accepts returns of defective merchandise only, within 14 days from purchase date. All original packing materials, warranty cards, manuals and any other items must be returned. A valid RMA number must be issued by Pure Wave Audio and clearly marked on the outside of the package. Packages without an RMA number will not be accepted. Shipping Shipping within the lower 48 States: Most products at Pure Wave Audio are shipped to you for reasonable rate. This is part of our commitment to you having an enjoyable experience shopping with us. If a product is returned, you will be responsible for shipping to and from your location. Shipping Restrictions Via Manufacture: Some manufacturers restrict which products we can ship outside of the United States. PreSonus, Alesis, and Yamaha/Steinberg products will only be shipped within the United States. To check your order online, log in to our checkout area and track your package.
