I was forced to retire and am now permanantly disabled in early 2002. It was difficult to give up as, believe it or not, I loved my work as a Social Justice and Outreach Pastoral Assistant for a Jesuit Catholic Church in the inner-city. I started as the first director of a cooperative food bank relying on surplus and donated foods which people in need collected and shared with others. That orgnization now distributes to about 3000 families each month.
Anyway, now I am living on my disability and am going through the myriad things I have collected over the years. Although they have brought me joy in the past, they now need to move along to others who will enjoy them. My goal is simplicity, keeping only a few things that make me happy or are useful. My husband is disabled also but takes care of the both of us and our very special Yorkie Friend, Wiggle Wolf.
I am struggling with learning how to ship internationally but love it.
I also recently learned how to transfer casette tapes to CDs and spend a lot of time on the computer. If you know someone who wants their tapes transferred I do it for $10 a tape. Have them email me.
