I've been selling on ebay for over 9 years now. I started by selling some American Girl items of my own that my daughter had. Then I started selling some personal items. Next thing I know, a friend asked me to sell some of her things for a commission and a business was born! I specialize in American Girl brand new items and items that I have been commissioned to sell. I sell anything as long as it's legal! I'm an Ebay Trading Assistant and available for hire.
EXPEDITED/OVERNIGHT HOLIDAY SHIPPING
All items ship next business day after payment is received. I also will be shipping Saturday this week. For an additional $5, I will ship your item same day as payment is received, provided payment is received by 4:00 CST.
My standard shipping for small packages is first class, which is about a 3 day service. However, I will be shipping most items priority after Friday the 18th. That is a 2 day service, but an unguaranteed service. My standard service for larger packages is Fedex Ground, generally a 3 day service.
If you wish guaranteed services, such as Fedex 2 day or Express Mail, please keep in mind that once the package leaves my hands, it is out of my control. I can only work with what Fedex and USPS tell me they will do, but ultimately it is in their hands. Fedex is significantly more expensive for expedited services, but they are more reliable than USPS. Again, please remember that their delivery commitments are what you are paying for and if they do not meet their commitment you will get your shipping money back for them not meeting it. It can mean however, that you will not get your package when you need it. This year I am implementing a $10 handling charge for expedited services. What you are paying for with that $10 is me taking the time to look up the two different services to see what their commitment is and presenting these options to you. It is best if we do this over telephone. You are also paying me to stand in line at Fedex or USPS to make sure the package is properly stamped with the commitment. And you are also paying me for the time it will take me to get your shipping money back to you if their delivery commitment is not met. This fee is non-negotiable.
Also, please keep in mind that weather can play havoc with package delivery the week of Christmas. In 2008, I had the vast majority of the packages not make their delivery commitments due to inclimate weather. Fedex was more reliable than USPS, but significantly more expensive.

Payment Terms
All items are due within 4 days of auction end. No exeptions. The majority of my business is consignment, and I can't get my clients paid if buyers don't pay me. If you have won any of my auctions you must contact me within 4 days of purchase with your intent to pay or I file a NPB alert with ebay at that time. If payment is not received within 4 days of auction end, then a NPB alert will be file and a subsequent warning 3 days after that. I do not deviate from this policy as this is a community based on trust and users who don't pay on time need to be reported. Please email me with any questions.
International Shipping
In late January, paypal changed it's policy requiring all shipments (including international) to have online viewable tracking to be covered by Seller Protection Policy. Unfortunately, only the expensive services such as Express Mail offer such tracking. Essentially, that eliminates international shipping as an option, since it is has become cost prohibitive to the buyer. Why pay $35 dollars for a $30 item! Ridiculous, but that's paypal for you! So, I am happy to ship internationally, but unfortunately I cannot take paypal for payment unless you are willing to pay for those expensive shipping services. Given this, if you are interested in an international shipping quote for an item, I'm happy to provide one, and please contact me and advise me how you will intend to pay, so I can quote the service correctly. If you pay with a money order, I am happy to offer less expensive options.
I have had a few customers ask if I can ship to an address in the states (such as a relative) and they will get the package overseas. That certainly circumvents the paypal problem, so you can assume the shipping price as quoted in the ad. When you check out, and pay in paypal, just enter the address you wish to have your item shipped to in the "ship to" section.
Shipping Policies
I always ship next business day after payment is made. If for some bizarre reason happens and I am unable to do so, I notify all recipients of this issue. In 6 years on ebay, I've only had this occur about 5 times total.
Expedited Shipping
If you need overnight shipping or same day shipping, I offer those services. There is a $5 package service fee for same day shipping, and overnight is available. Just ask!
